Living Opportunities Management Company (LOMCO) is an experienced residential property management company established in 1975 to provide day-to-day supervision of the projects that were being developed by its parent company, Doty-Burton Associates. LOMCO also fee manages other senior affordable properties.
Initially specializing in affordable housing for the elderly, LOMCO has experience in managing family units, SROS, and projects for persons with disabilities. LOMCO now manages projects with a variety of funding subsidies including HUD insured and direct loans, project and tenant based Section 8, LIHTC, CHFA, and tax-exempt bonds. LOMCO's clients include non-profit and for-profit corporations, limited partnerships and government entities.
LOMCO is an approved management agent by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is licensed by the State of California Department of Real Estate. LOMCO's 130 employees are largely dispersed among the various sites in Southern California with supervisory personnel based out of the corporate office in Long Beach, California. LOMCO provides professional training of site staff in subsidy program compliance, project operations, legal issues, site maintenance, resident service coordination and other areas.
LOMCO currently manages 18 affordable housing properties for elderly and handicapped/disabled residents. Safe comfortable housing and many needed services are provided by LOMCO to approximately 2800 individuals living on limited income in 2500 apartment units.
